The Hands of Jesus Still Heal (Luke 24:39)
When Jesus rose from the dead, He said to His disciples: “Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see.” (Luke 24:39).
Those hands told a story — of healing, of provision, of suffering, of victory, and of eternal security. And the good news is this: the hands of Jesus still work today!
1. Hands That Heal
Matthew 8:3 – With a simple touch, Jesus freed the leper from his disease.
Matthew 8:14-15 – By touching Peter’s mother-in-law, He turned sickness into strength, bringing transformation into an entire home.
Mark 10:16 – His touch blessed little children, showing His tenderness and love.
Even now, Jesus’ hands still heal — not only bodies, but hearts, families, and lives.
2. Hands That Provide
Luke 9:16 – Jesus took five loaves and two fish, blessed them, and fed thousands.
In His hands, what seems too little becomes more than enough. When we trust Him with our resources, He multiplies them to meet every need.
3. Hands That Suffer
Matthew 27:35 – On the cross, nails pierced His hands as He gave His life for us.
Those wounded hands still speak of love today. They remind us of the price He paid and the depth of His sacrifice.
4. Hands That Win
John 20:27 – To a doubting Thomas, Jesus showed His nail-scarred hands, proof of His victory over death.
The same hands once wounded are now victorious! They carry the marks of suffering, yet proclaim triumph over sin and the grave.
5. Hands That Work Today
John 10:28 – Jesus promises, “No one will snatch them out of my hand.”
His hands still hold us securely. He guides, protects, and keeps His children safe for eternity.
Conclusion
The hands of Jesus tell the story of the Gospel. They heal, provide, suffer, win, and continue to work in our lives today.
